How do you compare texts that exist in several languages? And how can correspondences and differences between these versions be made visible?
These are the questions the COMUTE workshop at Freie Universität Berlin addresses. COMUTE (Collation of Multilingual Text) develops approaches, methods and tools for comparing and digitally editing multilingual texts. In the workshop we present first results and discuss them with participants.
The program includes talks from the project, open exchange on the requirements of different disciplines, and a hands-on session with the new collation tool LERA Multilingual.
